FDMB Managing Director Tom Swainland is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Building and an Associate of the RICS with over twenty five years’ experience in construction, contracting and development, ten of which saw him at the head of a regional construction and development company.  

Following a stint working for a major property consultant in the South West, he returned to London in 2002 where he built up the contracting and development company Swainlands Construction into a multi-million pound regional business with a large workforce. Operating across central London and the Home Counties and working with an extensive team of expert consultants, subcontractors and tradesmen, he was instrumental in delivering projects including refurbishment works at the Tower of London, Kings Apartments Chelsea and The Kia Oval.  

In 2019 he founded SDevs when he took over and rebranded the development arm of Swainlands to focus on schemes including a 66-residential unit and 4-commercial unit scheme with listed building refurbishment at North Street, Romford

 FDMB Surveying is the latest addition to the business/company portfolio, a surveying practice offering real estate and construction consultancy services across London and the South East.
